Niles North High School and Niles West High School Video Displays

Sievert Electric has provided Daktronics scoreboards for Niles North High School for over 20 years. In 2015, when the Niles High School District was looking to upgrade its football scoreboards, Sievert Electric was chosen to participate in the project. The original concept was a football scoreboard with a small two-line message center. During several meetings and discussions the district staff, along with the school board, decided that they wanted this investment to be inclusive for all school events at their respective stadiums.

The Solution

Sievert Electric proposed a “live” video board along with a sound system that would include sports events like football, soccer, and track, but also meet the needs of other events like the marching band competition, movie night after the senior prom, local youth group events, and also graduation. After an on-site demonstration of these products, all parties agreed unanimously that this would be the best investment for the schools moving forward.

The Results

The high school community is very happy with the result and is now part of a presentation promoting Sievert Electric and Daktronics to other Sievert Electric prospects. The value of the video displays expanded beyond football games to include a wide variety of school activities.
