Shot Clock & Light Strip Installation

Sievert Electric and Daktronics provide a complete, turnkey shot clock solution designed to help schools get game-ready with confidence. We supply and install shot clocks with custom mounting brackets for all types of goal/backboard systems, then handle the full electrical scope—wiring runs, terminations, and final installation at each shot clock location.

With IHSA authorizing optional use now and requiring a 35-second shot clock for varsity boys’ and girls’ basketball starting the 2026–2027 season, many schools have already made planned upgrades to become IHSA compliant.

To enhance visibility and meet modern game expectations, we also offer optional LED light strip systems that can illuminate at key moments (e.g., when the game clock hits zero or when horns sound), with physical profiles designed to fit typical high school backboards.

Optional LTS-BB LED Light Strips

Dimensions: H=.82″ D=.38″ (21 mm, 10 mm). Length varies with backboard size.

The LTS-BB is a strip of LEDs lining the perimeter of the backboard that illuminates when the game clock displays zero. They can also be programmed to come on when the game horn or shot clock horn sounds or when the game clock is stopped.
