The Opportunity
We are seeking an Electrical Project Manager who thrives in a dynamic, relationship-driven environment. In this role, you’ll oversee all aspects of electrical contracting projects—from estimating and budgeting to design collaboration, scheduling, and client engagement.
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Forest Park, IL, offering hands-on involvement in the complete lifecycle of electrical projects, as well as opportunities to build and strengthen long-term client partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple electrical construction projects simultaneously, ensuring on-time and within-budget completion.
- Oversee project estimating, scheduling, and cost tracking with accuracy and accountability.
- Collaborate with engineering, field, and administrative teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Maintain transparent communication with clients, providing regular updates and building trust through responsiveness and follow-through.
- Participate in client relationship development through site visits, lunches, dinners, golf outings, and sporting events, bringing a sales-minded approach to relationship building.
- Provide technical input on design, installation methods, and material selection.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
We’re looking for someone with a strong foundation in either project management or electrical work who’s ready to grow and lead within the electrical construction field.
This could be:
- An experienced Project Manager, ideally with prior experience managing electrical or construction projects, who’s eager to deepen their knowledge of electrical systems and delivery; or
- A skilled Electrician, Foreman, or Electrical Supervisor ready to transition into a Project Management role—bringing hands-on expertise, leadership, and a drive to learn.
Additional skills and qualities:
- Strong communication, organization, and coordination abilities.
- Experience managing project budgets, schedules, and client expectations.
- A proactive, relationship-oriented mindset with the ability to build and maintain long-term client partnerships.
- Familiarity with electrical estimating software and financial project tracking. Such as: Accubid, ConEst, Vision Infosoft, McCormick etc.
Title and compensation will vary based on experience and qualifications.
