Scope of Work

Wrigley Field was the last stadium in all of major league sports to have a video display in the outfield. The Cubs were looking for large video screens in both left and right field, with more fan interaction and more advertising possibilities.

The Solution

Daktronics has a great history and a great reputation throughout major league baseball. But there were two huge challenges to Daktronics and Sievert Electric. One was that Wrigley Field is a national historic site, so everything had to be done under the requirements of the National Historical Society. The other big challenge was that the entire construction timeline had to be accomplished in the off season, so Sievert Electric and Daktronics worked on an accelerated time schedule and worked throughout the winter.

The Result

Wrigley Field now has state of the art video display scoreboards, and the entire project was completed in the off season and ready for opening day in April 2015.
